Involucrum 2023
Involucrum” is an interactive installation and multimedia performance in which 12 childhood objects are turned into musical instruments. By touching the objects they produce a set of notes, thus their generated sound gives birth to a 3D particle body in a near monitor.
The project reflects on the theme of the cyborg body and the process of reassembling ourselves in a virtual dimension. The 3D-altered body breathes and moves in real time. it’s a sound-reactive visual that responds to the music produced by the objects. Can we be reborn in a virtual dimension? Can our physical boundaries be overcome by merging our physical body with our virtual double?
